    Hi HN,

I solo built GymBenchmark because I was frustrated with existing workout apps that were either too bloated with social features or hid basic progress charts behind subscriptions. I wanted a tool that felt like a native utility, focused entirely on long-term strength progression.

The Problem: > Most trackers focus on the current session but make it surprisingly hard to see your 6-month trend for a specific lift without clicking through multiple menus. I wanted a dashboard where my PRs and volume trends were front and center.

    Technical Details:

Built natively for iOS using [Swift/SwiftUI].

Privacy: No account is required to start logging. I wanted to ensure user data remains local/private by default.

HealthKit: It integrates with Apple Health to sync active energy (kcal) and workout data, which was an interesting challenge to map correctly across different exercise types.

I’ve recently redesigned the web version (gymbenchmark.com) and launched the native app to provide a more cohesive experience.

I'd love to hear your feedback on the UI/UX, especially regarding the data visualization. I'm also around to answer any questions about the build process!
